As you have probably already heard, DSNY has changed the times for when NYC businesses are allowed to set out their waste and recycling. Beginning April 1st, all businesses that set their waste out on the street for collection will have to choose one of the following two set-out options:
Businesses that set their material out in bags can only place their materials curbside after 8pm. Cardboard does not need to be bagged, and may be tied or bundled.
Businesses that use a container for their waste and recycling may set their material curbside after 6pm, or up to one hour before closing. Cardboard does not need to be placed in a container, and may be tied or bundled.
