With more than 20 years in the waste management and sustainability fields, Ken Richards has seen it all. He has a B.A. in Geography from Hunter College, and is a master composter. Ken is accustomed to finding diverse solutions to the complex issues that the ever changing waste and recycling fields present.
Jessica B. Downes
Sustainability & Compliance Manager
Jessica Downes is an avid environmentalist with a passion for recycling. She joined Diverse after serving two terms with NYC Service. Previously, she has worked with DSNY as an outreach and education associate for the residential compost program, and as a volunteer manager for the NYC Parks department. Jessica is a TRUE Advisor and Fitwell Ambassador. Learn more about TRUE certification at true.gbci.org.
With more than 15 years in the in the environmental services industry, Gabriel has proven himself skilled in budgeting, waste, corporate social responsibility, and developing/implementing comprehensive recycling programs. He has an entrepreneurial mind and has a B.S. in Business Management from Mercy College as well as an A.S. in Accounting from the Wood Tobe-Coburn School.
Asya Stepnova
Sustainability Recycling Consultant
Asya Stepnova is passionate about sustainability and direct action as a means to better and preserve the planet and natural world. She earned her BFA in Dramatic Writing from SUNY Purchase's Dramatic Writing Conservatory and received her MFA in Creative Writing at CCNY. Her plays have been performed at Playwrights Horizons. Her writing has been featured in Promethean, 433, Dwelling Literary, and Lovers & Other Strangers. Her photography has been exhibited in galleries in New York, Bristol, and Paris.
Lusana Chou
Lead Accountant
Lusana holds a Master of Accounting and a Masters of Business Administration from Brooklyn College. She has a passion for travel and exploring new places and the great outdoors.
Monique Le
Staff Accountant
Born and raised in California, Monique is now a proud Brooklynite. Before making the cross-country move to the Big Apple, she graduated from San Jose State University where she earned her BS in Business Admin/ Marketing. When she's not organizing financial transactions, Monique enjoys yoga as is an avid yogi practicing more than seven years, and has a passion for writing and had previously been published in the Brooklyn Heights blog.
